The SEARCH Thrift Shop opened its doors in 1977 in anticipation of supporting a group home.  It relies on gently used, good, and new donations from caring citizens of many communities. The Thrift Shop offers quality clothing and accessories, housewares, furniture, and furnishings at affordable prices.

Income from the Thrift Shop, along with financial donations from local citizens, civic organizations, churches, and grants provide funds necessary for the continued operation of the SEARCH Group Home.

The Thrift Shop is operated by a dedicated staff of volunteers supervised by the store manager. We are always in need of and happy to welcome new volunteers! Volunteers can work a set schedule, or come in for an hour or two as their time allows. Volunteer workers help sort donations, tag and price items, test electronic donations, arrange items in the store, help customers, help pick up furniture donations, and cashier.
